Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has praised Grayscale’s recent court victory against the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), stating that the decision “clears a path to keep Bitcoin and blockchain innovation in the US instead of overseas”. Ramaswamy warned that the “shadow government” in Washington was “out of control” and that federal courts were the last line of defense against “unlawful rogue behaviors of three-letter government agencies”. Grayscale’s lawsuit argued that the SEC arbitrarily rejected its ETF application despite approving numerous similar products in the form of Bitcoin futures ETFs.
