The Chamber of Digital Commerce is one of the largest blockchain trade associations in the United States and aims to promote the adoption of digital assets and blockchain technology. The pro hac vice motion would give Kennedy permission to practice law in the specific jurisdiction of the lawsuit, even though he is not licensed to practice law there. The case, which centers around the SEC’s claim that Coinbase’s lending program constitutes unregistered securities offerings, has drawn significant attention from the cryptocurrency community.
