MakerDAO, a decentralized finance platform, has added $50 million in real-world asset (RWA) assets through BlockTower Andromeda. The investment primarily consists of short-term U.S. Treasuries, bringing the entire RWA assets on MakerDAO to approximately $2.514 billion. BlockTower Andromeda, which now has $752 million in MakerDAO’s RWA assets, has a target investment of up to $1.28 billion. The move signals MakerDAO’s continued growth in the DeFi space, as it offers a more stable option than cryptocurrencies alone.
