Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX, has submitted pre-trial motions to dismiss most of the charges against him, including allegations of fraud and bribery pertaining to his time serving as the CEO of a cryptocurrency exchange. His attorneys are requesting that some accusations against him be dropped, including the ones of conspiracy to commit bank fraud as well as wire fraud against FTX clients and Alameda Research lenders. The defense claims that the prosecution did not state an offense because it could not prove the existence of a legal property interest.
