Former FTX executive Ryan Salame is expected to plead guilty to criminal charges over the collapse of the cryptocurrency exchange. Salame was the co-chief executive of FTX’s Bahamas subsidiary before the exchange imploded last November. Salame is scheduled to appear in Manhattan federal court on Thursday afternoon. The expected plea comes a month before the trial of FTX’s founder, Sam Bankman-Fried, who has been accused of market manipulation. It remains to be seen what specific charges Salame will plead guilty to.
