Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has urged cryptocurrency projects to consider the stability of Hong Kong’s crypto-friendly position when setting up operations there. While Hong Kong has welcomed crypto firms, Buterin said the key variable was whether the government’s support for the sector was stable in the long term. He added that he could not judge whether crypto-friendliness would be maintained but noted that his impression of the engagement level of local developer communities across Asia had been positive during his recent tour of several countries in the region.
