Wilcke’s Facebook and Gmail accounts were also targeted by the hackers. The attack highlights the need for more robust security measures to protect against SIM-swap attacks, which have become increasingly common. Users are advised to use two-factor authentication and to contact their mobile provider to request extra security measures to protect their accounts.
