A massive phishing attack in the cryptocurrency world has left one victim with a loss of $24.23 million. According to Scam Sniffer, the victim’s address, identified as 0x13…179e, was targeted by scammers who were able to obtain token approval through an “increase allowance” transaction. The stolen stETH and rETH were then converted into ETH and DAI, and transferred to multiple addresses. This attack is believed to be one of the biggest in crypto history. As the use of cryptocurrencies continues to grow, it’s crucial to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to protect assets.
