According to Source, Binance.US and its founder, Changpeng Zhao, are considering measures to reduce Zhao’s shareholding in the crypto exchange. CZ has been attempting to sell his shares since last summer when the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission filed a lawsuit against the exchange.
Executives at Binance.US have discussed how this potential drop in Zhao’s ownership may improve the company’s reputation among US regulatory authorities.
