In a secret filing by the US SEC, a federal judge has approved the appearance of attorney Andrew Rhys Davies for BinanceUS amid the ongoing lawsuit against Binance, Binance.US, and CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao. The SEC has accused Binance of conducting unregistered securities offerings and failing to provide adequate anti-money laundering measures. The addition of Davies to BinanceUS’s legal team comes at a critical time as the company faces mounting regulatory pressure in several countries. Despite the controversy, Binance remains one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, with over $59 billion in trading volume in the past 24 hours.
